Your utility terrain vehicle (UTV or side-by-side) is rugged and can withstand a lot of hard riding. However, your vehicle can only perform well if you keep it maintained, and to do that, you need the right maintenance tools. Here are the tools you’ll want to have handy in your garage and in a portable tool kit so that you can tune up your side-by-side whenever you need to and keep it out of the repair shop.

Screwdrivers

Having a selection of flat-head and Phillips-head screwdrivers will make it much easier to maintain your UTV. You’ll need them to tighten and loosen fasteners on the exterior and interior of your UTV.

Wrenches

You’ll also want a good set of wrenches to help you work on your UTV, with several different sizes and styles. A vice grip, an allen wrench, and a standard crescent wrench are good places to start.

Multimeter

This small device can check the electric function of your side-by-side’s engine so you can determine whether the engine is producing sufficient power.

Lubricant

Some form of spray lubricant will always come in handy for maintaining your UTV. You can use it to make your fasteners easy to loosen, in addition to spraying it on stiff parts that aren’t moving smoothly.
